Adoption of 2027 Unified Planning Work Program and the 2027 - 2031 Transportation Improvement Program

The FFY 2027 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) details the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Missoula Urban Transit District's (MUTD) planned work elements, associated costs and staff time commitments. The FFY 2027–2031 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) outlines transportation projects, funding, and implementation schedules for projects receiving state and federal funding within the MPO Planning Area. The TIP includes estimated costs and timelines for each project phase. You can view the current TIP here: https://www.missoulampo.com/programs
The MPO will accept public comments until August 17, 2026, at 5:00pm on the draft UPWP and TIP. Public comment will also be accepted when the final documents are presented for adoption at the following public meeting in August:
